Admission & fees
What is the full form of ECA Academy?
ECA stands for Extra Curricular Activities. ECA Academy is a one-stop platform for artistic, fitness and academic activities outside the normal school, college or university curriculum.
Do I pay a separate admission fee for each class?
No. Students pay the admission fee only once, when they first enrol in any class. If you later join more classes or switch to another class, you do not pay another admission fee. One admission fee covers every class ECA offers.
Do I have to pay the admission fee and monthly fee in advance?
The admission fee must be paid before classes formally start. However, every student can take 2 to 3 demo classes before paying the monthly fee, so you can meet the teacher and try the class first.
Can I take just one month of lessons?
You can, but one month is rarely enough to give lessons a fair chance: it takes time to turn what you learn into a physical skill, much like going to the gym. The academy has no semester minimum. Every student is free to enrol month to month or by semester.
How much are the monthly fees?
Monthly fees depend on the class. See class fees & batch timings, or call 9707082552 for the current fee for your class and batch.
Do you offer free trial classes?
Every student can take 2–3 demo classes before paying the monthly fee, and free trial sessions can be arranged based on discussion and your needs. Call us on 9707082552 to talk it through.
How do I book a demo class?
Call 9707082552 or 9849169891, email eca.academy05@gmail.com, or use the booking form. Tell us the class, whether the learner is a child or an adult, and the batch that suits you (morning, afternoon or evening).
Learning & practice
How long does it take to learn an instrument?
There is no single answer. It varies from student to student and depends on how much you practise and on your age. Playing is a physical skill, so it takes repetition to improve. With regular practice, a basic level of playing can be reached within a few months. Most of our students take lessons long term because they want to keep improving, and because they enjoy the lessons.
How much should my child practise each week?
We recommend at least 15 minutes a day, six days a week. That is the minimum: students progress faster and remember more when they practise more often. Short sessions several times a day, every day, work much better than long sessions a few times a week. For young children, practice goes much better when a parent supervises.
What if my child starts and genuinely dislikes the instrument?
They can try another instrument. Students are free to switch at any time, with no new admission fee; it is better to try something else than to end up disliking music. It does take several months to reach a basic level, so we suggest giving an instrument at least 2 months before deciding to change or stop.
Are there separate batches for beginners and advanced learners?
Yes. We run separate batches for basic and advanced levels, and children's batches, so every learner is taught at the right pace.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. We certify the courses we offer, in line with company policy, so students can show what they have learned.
For parents
I have no musical background. Can I still help my child practise?
Yes. Ask the teacher how best to help your child practise. Simply checking that they do their exercises a set number of times each day helps them progress. Many parents sit in on a lesson now and then to hear how a song should sound, or to see how their child should position their hands. You are your child's best coach.
Can I sit in on my child's lesson?
Yes, we have an open-door policy and you can choose when to sit in. Keep in mind that some students work better with a parent in the room while others find it distracting; the teacher will advise you once they get to know your child.
Do you have classes for children?
Yes. We run children's batches for vocal and instruments, and our young students perform at our Monthly Programme and in ECA Idol's junior category.
